1) What makes your studio a stand out in Atlanta?

At Catapult, we pride ourselves on not only delivering the best product in the southeast, but something on par with the best programs in LA and NYC. As this market continues to grow, our hope is to consistently raise the bar here, and be known as the go to training resource for tv/film actors in the Southeast.

While we help our actors accomplish their career goals, we are also centered on inspiring and empowering people of all walks of life to embrace and express their authentic self, both on and off camera. Our services are designed to help fulfill an array of needs to suit each individual actor’s personality and goals. Our Mission: Professional level training, designed to create better people.

Catapult also has created one of the most highly respected youth programs in the country, with clients booking big roles in projects like: The Walking Dead, Disney’s Bunk’d & Raven’s Home, Stranger Things, FOX’s The Gifted, House of Cards, and the upcoming film The House with a Clock in Its Walls, starring Jack Black & Cate Blanchett.

2) What services do you offer clients?

Ninety-Five percent of auditions are taped in the southeast. With this knowledge we created 3 state-of-the-art taping rooms designed to produce a standout, high-quality self-tape actors AND their representation can trust every visit. Each room is professionally sound insulated, and all of our readers are working actors or top coaches.

“Catapult delivers the best self-tape I’ve ever seen. When I receive a tape from Catapult I breathe a sigh of relief knowing it is ready to be sent off to production.” David Doan, CESD NY

In addition to self-taping, we also provide virtually every service to get the actor’s tool set complete. These services include headshots, demo reels, industry consultations, workshops, intensives, and a variety of classes for both kids and adults, seven days a week!

3) What will I learn from you?

“Life begins at the end of your comfort zone, so it’s time to start getting comfortable being uncomfortable.”  This is the message we literally have on our studio’s stairs. This industry is about taking risks, trusting yourself, and getting used to being uncomfortable in order to consistently grow and progress. Being uncomfortable can be scary, and is often a feeling most people run from. At Catapult, we strive to teach our clients to embrace this feeling. The uncomfortable is where the magic and success is able to come to life in your journey. This may mean trial and error, failure, and risk taking. But our staff and coaches are there every step of the way throughout this process. Let Go, Own the Moment, Connect.

4) How long have you been operating?

In April of 2017 we built out a beautiful two story 3200 sq foot studio in North Druid Hills. We have been operating as a studio for three years. Our founder, Erik Lingvall, has been working w/ actors in Atlanta for the last seven years, and won Backstage Readers’ Choice for Atlanta’s Favorite Acting Coach.
