In his book 5: Where Will You Be Five Years From Today, Dan Zadra makes a suggestion about Mondays that I absolutely love. It particularly resonates for me because I am that person who spends the better part of Sunday evenings prepping for the week and looking toward Monday with definite trepidation.
Drum roll please: TGIM or Thank Goodness It’s Monday!
In just the next year, you will have 52 opportunities to make each and every Monday unique, productive and positive. So what will you do with those days? How can you approach each with anticipation and excitement?
Now translate this to your career and your goals. Turn Monday into a day when you challenge yourself with new goals.
Meet Up Monday: gather 3 or 4 friends to view past audition tapes and give constructive feedback to one another.
Meditate Monday: take time to do something on your own, just for yourself.
Motivate Monday: find quotes and writing that motivates you and post it on your refrigerator or dashboard each week.
Make Monday the best day simply because you can start out every single one with a clean slate. There’s no reason to drag last week into this new one. TGIM.
